What's the better option to export XML ?

Hi,

I'm migrating from D6 and I export content via the Views Data Export module but actually it's not possible to change root name tag to do the same on D8.

So I see the Rest and Serialization modules could be a better way.

Is it true ? If yes, how can I achieve to use new modules to replace D6 habits ? Specially for root like <nodes> </nodes>
