"Hide if empty" ignored for fields

Problem/Motivation

An empty row is output, even if "Hide if empty" is enabled for the field.

This is extra problematic in views using "Responsive Grid" format, since it can lead to an empty space.

Oddly, the empty row is not output if "Pager" is set to "Display a specified number of items".

Steps to reproduce

1. Add a field in a view
2. Enable "Hide if empty"
3. See empty rows in the output
