how to enable X-Drupal-Cache header

Hi Drupalers,

I am trying to verify that my installation of drupal (6.28) is indeed using cache. The performance setting is set to 'normal' but it seems that installing CAPTCHA killed the cache.
I removed CAPTCHA from all pages but have a feeling that cache is still not working.

I saw a few references to X-Drupal-Cache headers which among other things allow for testing if a page was a hit or a miss.
I do not see those headers on my site responses though.

How do I enable this header.

Apologies for the noob question.

regards,
udi
