Having trouble finding a good source of documentation for localhost setups. Many of the configuration variables appear to be different. For example, page--xx.tpl.php templates that work on a web server do not work on localhost because the front page is localhost and all the content is posted as nodes that go through the home page as front, along the lines of localhost/node/10 or put in the user friendly url after the node/ if you want. So you have to create node--xx.tpl.php. It takes a lot of trial and error or searching OUTSIDE of the drupal.org site to learn these aspects. Can anyone point to documentation specific to locahost installations?
